SAP CPQ Consultant

Looking for an experienced SAP CPQ Consultant to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment! This remote opportunity based in New York, NY offers the chance to play a vital role in optimizing quote-to-cash processes by supporting and enhancing the SAP CPQ platform. As a key member of the team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with business, sales, IT, SAP, CRM, and ERP teams to ensure seamless operations and drive continuous improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

• 4 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP CPQ implementation, support, or enhancements.
• Expertise in configuring SAP CPQ, including product modeling, pricing strategies, rules, workflows, approvals, and document generation.
• Proven ability to support SAP CPQ integrations via APIs, web services, middleware, or other platforms.
• Strong knowledge of quote-to-cash and sales processes—covering product configuration, quoting, pricing, and order approval management.
• Experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.
• Skilled in creating functional specifications, testing, release management, and supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for SAP CPQ, addressing incidents, service requests, and recurring issues promptly and effectively.
• Configure, customize, and enhance SAP CPQ components such as product catalogs, attributes, pricing rules, discounting, approval workflows, guided selling, and configuration logic.
• Create and maintain document templates, proposal outputs, and user access permissions to ensure secure and efficient usage.
• Analyze root causes of issues, implement sustainable fixes, and perform proactive monitoring of system performance and data integrity.
• Support integrations between SAP CPQ and other systems like CRM, SAP ECC, pricing engines, tax systems, and order management solutions through APIs and middleware.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, prepare impact assessments, test plans, and deployment strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive testing — including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing — to ensure quality and functionality.
• Coordinate system releases, transports, defect resolutions, and production deployments in accordance with project timelines and best practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including configuration records, support procedures, knowledge articles, and runbooks.
• Participate actively in incident, problem, change, and release management processes using tools such as ServiceNow.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving quote accuracy, sales cycle time, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with SAP ECC, CRM, tax, and order management integrations.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar tools for incident and change management.
• Knowledge of automation tools and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Relevant degree in IT, Business, or related fields.
• Prior experience working in a support or implementation role within SAP CPQ environments.
