Summary

You lead: A blended team of our consultants, while managing relationships and expectations with client marketing, product, design, engineering, data and AI teams
Industry: Telecom (preferred)
Location: Atlanta, Dallas or New Jersey (Remote)

About the Role

An executive-level consultant capable of program leadership, market and product strategy and executive communication. You lead a multi-product program for a client, bring the market, competitive and industry insight that shapes its direction, and engage confidently with VP, SVP and CMO stakeholders, while staying accountable for measurable ROI. A marketer’s understanding of audiences, segmentation and customer journeys helps you see what the products must do for the marketers who use them. This is a player-coach role: you engage executives with a point of view and personally build the work behind it.

Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Direct vendor and client teams toward one plan, without formal authority over client staff. Set priorities with client marketing and product leads, and unblock design, engineering, data and AI teams.

• Define the KPI tree and measurement plan in partnership with client data teams. Track adoption, utilization, revenue attribution and in-year savings, such as reduced spend and workflow optimization.

Market & Strategic Thought Leadership

• Bring the outside-in view into the program: market trends, competitor moves, customer behavior and telecom industry shifts, turned into implications for the product portfolio.

• Act as a strategic thought partner to client product leadership. Supply the evidence, benchmarks and options that inform their vision and roadmap decisions.

• Bring a product-led growth lens to the portfolio, identifying opportunities in activation, onboarding, lifecycle and experimentation.

Executive Communication & Governance

• Engage with confidence in dynamic conversations with VP, SVP and CMO stakeholders. Frame each decision and bring a recommendation rather than a menu of options.

• Build the decks and storylines yourself. Work with campaign, audience and product data, directly or through the data team, to find the insight. There is no separate deck-production team behind this role.

Qualifications

Executive and consulting leadership and product-led growth experience are essential. A marketing background is required as context: it lets you understand the products being built and the marketers who use them. This role does not run marketing or campaigns.

Executive and Consulting Leadership

• 12+ years of experience, including 4+ years at Senior Manager, Director or above at a reputable consulting firm.

• Recurring, direct work with VP, SVP or C-level executives, with confident command of dynamic executive conversations and examples of decisions you shaped.

• Program leadership of cross-functional teams spanning marketing, product, engineering, data and AI, achieved through influence rather than line authority.

• Hands-on executive storytelling. You build the deck and the narrative yourself.

Product-Led Growth

• Deep product-led growth experience: activation, onboarding, product-qualified leads, lifecycle and experimentation. You personally moved the funnel metrics.

• Has connected marketing journeys to in-product experiences, so that acquisition, activation and expansion work as one funnel.

• Has shaped multi-product roadmaps with market and competitive evidence.

• ROI cases you built and defended: revenue attribution, cost savings or efficiency gains.

Marketing Background

• Experience in or alongside a marketing organization: growth, lifecycle, digital or product marketing.

• Understands how marketers work: audiences, segmentation, customer journeys, first-party data, channel mix and attribution.

• Credibility with a CMO and their leadership team.

Technology Awareness

• General understanding of how marketing technology, customer data and analytics platforms work, such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, GrowthLoop, cloud data platforms and BI tools. Hands-on use is not required, and the specific tools will change over time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecom consulting experience for or at a carrier, cable, broadband or MVNO business. Relevant areas include digital self-serve, upgrades and churn, or B2B and SMB adoption.

• A track record of transforming or redesigning marketing operations workflows.

• Experience applying AI to marketing workflows, such as audience modeling, content generation or journey personalization.
