Citadel Security USA is currently hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight assignment in Rifle, Colorado. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and orderly environment through routine patrols, security monitoring, incident documentation, and customer-focused interaction with individuals on the property.
This role is ideal for someone who remains attentive during overnight hours, communicates effectively, and can confidently manage security responsibilities while working independently.
Position Details - Location: Rifle, CO 81650

- Schedule: Thursday to Sunday | 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Compensation: Up to $19.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities Patrol & Property Observation - Conduct scheduled walking patrols throughout assigned buildings and exterior areas
- Inspect entrances, hallways, parking lots, stairwells, and common-use spaces
- Check for security concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions
- Help maintain a secure atmosphere by remaining visible and attentive throughout the shift
- Report maintenance issues, property damage, or operational concerns as needed
Security Monitoring - Observe security cameras and monitoring systems during assigned hours
- Monitor activity throughout the property and surrounding grounds
- Maintain awareness of movement in designated areas
- Assist with access-control procedures and site-specific security requirements when applicable
Incident Handling - Respond appropriately to disturbances, safety concerns, or suspicious activity
- Follow established procedures during emergencies or unexpected events
- Maintain professionalism and sound judgment during stressful situations
- Notify supervisors of incidents requiring additional attention or follow-up
Documentation & Reporting - Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation
- Record observations accurately using TrackTik and other approved systems
- Maintain clear and timely records of security-related events
- Prepare detailed reports regarding incidents, investigations, or unusual activity
Customer Service & Professional Conduct - Interact courteously with visitors, contractors, vendors, and staff
- Provide assistance, information, or directions when appropriate
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each shift
- Support a welcoming and secure environment for everyone on the property
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation
- Dependable attendance and professional work habits
- Ability to remain alert and focused during overnight shifts
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Training Requirements Selected candidates must be willing and able to:
- Attend company orientation and onboarding programs
- Successfully complete ACT Training
- Follow all site-specific training and operational requirements
Preferred Qualifications - Experience monitoring CCTV or electronic surveillance systems
- Familiarity with TrackTik or similar reporting software
- Previous security, patrol, or facility-monitoring experience
- Strong conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills
- Experience working in large facilities, campuses, or multi-building environments
