Testing experience to look for:

Location: This position is required to be onsite, M-F in Martin County, Florida.
Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm. Late night and weekend hours are to be expected as we ramp up manufacturing capabilities.

Job Summary: The Test Engineer is responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of transformers and related electrical machines. This includes developing test plans, performing various tests such as insulation and dielectric testing, analyzing results, and providing feedback to the design and R&D teams for continuous improvement. The role also emphasizes adherence to international standards, safety procedures, and efficient testing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Compliance with Standards: Ensure all testing procedures meet international and national standards (IEC, ANSI, IS).
2.Test Planning: Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures for transformer and electrical machine testing.
3.Instrument Calibration: Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the accuracy of testing equipment and instruments.
4.Performance Testing: Conduct routine, type and special tests.
5.Dielectric Testing: Perform high-voltage dielectric testing and insulation tests to assess voltage withstand capabilities.
6.Quality Control: Ensure that strict quality control measures are followed during testing to detect any defects or non-conformance.
7.Root Cause Analysis: Investigate failures during testing, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
8.Documentation: Accurately record test results, observations, and discrepancies, generating detailed test reports.
9.Final Testing: Perform final acceptance tests on transformers before dispatch, ensuring all specifications and standards are met.
10.Oil Testing: Analyze transformer oil to assess its quality, dielectric strength, DGA, and suitability for use in the transformer.
11.Environmental Testing: Simulate various operating conditions to evaluate transformer performance and reliability under stress.
12.Reliability Testing: Conduct tests to assess transformer lifespan and reliability under different operating scenarios.
13.Collaboration: Collaborate with design, engineering, and R&D teams to provide feedback for product improvements and design optimizations.
14.Safety Compliance: Adhere to and audit safety protocols during all testing activities to ensure a safe working environment.
15.Training: Provide training to junior engineers and technicians on testing methods, safety practices, and operational procedures.
16.Process Improvement: Continuously seek and implement improvements in testing procedures, methods, and equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability.
