Job Details

About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinst to support machining operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong hands-on experience with CNC setup, a solid understanding of machining processes, and the ability to support efficient, high-quality production.

You will play a key role in preparing machines for production, ensuring quality standards are met, and working closely with the shop floor team to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production runs

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications

Perform tooling selection, offsets, and machine adjustments

Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with process improvements

Ensure parts meet quality standards and required tolerances

Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished components

Collaborate with machinists and team members to maintain efficient workflow

Assist with general shop support and continuous improvement initiatives

Perform basic welding as needed for fixtures, repairs, or fabrication support

Support tool and die maintenance, repair, and setup activities

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Trade or Technical School preferred

3+ years of experience in CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong math skills and experience with precision measuring tools

Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or similar) preferred

Exposure to tool and die work is a strong plus

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift

Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs

Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
