ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager Support professional to serve as the designated Owner's Representative for Facilities Capital Projects on a part-time, 3-year contract basis in Foster City, CA. In this role, you will provide comprehensive EH&S support and oversight for capital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, operational requirements, and quality standards. You will work closely with the Client's Foster City EH&S team to guide new facility projects, ensuring compliance with EH&S standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong project management skills, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks while maintaining strict adherence to documented practices and protocols.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will provide comprehensive EH&S support and oversight for capital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, operational requirements, and quality standards. You will work closely with the Client's Foster City EH&S team to guide new facility projects, ensuring compliance with EH&S standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong project management skills, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks while maintaining strict adherence to documented practices and protocols.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as Owner's Representative and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EH&S on capital projects, providing oversight and coordination to ensure alignment with client objectives and standards
- Participate in project meetings, including owner-architect-contractor (OAC) meetings, design meetings, and other related project discussions
- Support the permitting process for all environmental permits and coordinate waste generation management throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate and manage daily EH&S activities during construction, startup, and commissioning phases
- Review project documents, Request for Information (RFI) submittals, and Hazardous Monitoring System (HMS) program documents
- Perform waste analysis and design waste management programs to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Work closely with the Client's project team, owner vendors (including the Design Team, general contractors, and other vendors), and regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes, regulations, and organizational requirements, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Utilize the Client's designated systems, tools, and platforms for project tracking, documentation, reporting, and communication in strict adherence to operational standards and protocols
- Establish and maintain clear, concise, and effective communication with all stakeholders
- Provide additional EH&S Manager Support Services as agreed upon by the Client and Supplier
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) experience
- Knowledge and experience with design documents, drawings, and specifications for GMP facilities
- Experience with facility process utility systems and process equipment
- Fluent in a risk-based approach to qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks
- Self-driven, performance-oriented, and results-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills, including adherence to schedules, budget awareness, timely execution, and risk mitigation
- Ability to follow documented practices and processes (GEPs, SOPs, etc.)
- Clear, concise, and effective stakeholder communication skills
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes, regulations, and standards, as well as regulatory and organizational requirements
- Efficient utilization of designated systems, tools, and platforms for project tracking, documentation, reporting, and communication
