• Travel: Must be able to travel for 1 week to SWA Headquarters in Dallas to work onsite. Could be quarterly.

Looking for a strong Cloud Developer with a solid Java development background who has transitioned into AWS cloud-native development with expertise in Python, AWS Lambda, and API development. Candidate should have hands-on experience with Terraform and modern serverless architectures. Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and Step Functions is required.

Note: This role is focused on application/cloud development. Profiles primarily focused on Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or AI/ML will not be considered.

• Requirements:

·12–15+ years U.S. experience

·Strong cloud-native background

·AWS Lambda (Python)

·Terraform (IaC)

·Kafka

·System design understanding

·API Gateway

·Java background and has transitioned to AWS/Python/serverless

·Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders

• Not a fit: Candidates currently focused on Java, DevOps, or SRE

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience
• Strategic thinker is a MUST

·Someone with consistent communication and ability to follow through

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional preferred)
• Experience in cloud environments
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
