Job Details

Job Description

You will be a FPGA Design Engineer for our team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing RF solutions using Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Our team is responsible for creating innovative systems that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Be Doing
As the FPGA Design Engineer, you will lead the digital hardware definition and implementation of complex FPGA-based systems, working closely with algorithm developers, systems engineers, and other hardware/software teams. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead the design and development of digital systems for RF sensor applications using FPGAs.
Define FPGA functionality, select and size FPGA devices, and determine communication protocols to meet system throughput requirements.
Design, simulate, and implement FPGA code using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
Integrate complex IP cores and MathWorks HDL Coder outputs into FPGA designs.
Work through timing closure issues, especially in systems involving dense IP and algorithmic outputs.
Perform bit-precise formal verification of Simulink models.
Collaborate with the systems team to translate high-level algorithms into Simulink blocks and hardware implementations.
Utilize Synopsys VCS or equivalent FPGA simulation tools to verify designs.
Implement high-speed data interfaces such as Ethernet within FPGA architectures.
Apply advanced DSP concepts to implement efficient hardware-based filtering and processing.
Architect and evaluate digital systems for RF sensors, including protocols, interconnects, and performance metrics.
Stay current with emerging FPGA and RF technologies to guide innovation and future system architectures.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
Communicate technical information clearly across teams and disciplines.
