Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer focused on ETL for complaints management on CMT using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IBM DataStage ETL, DB2, and data integration across Snowflake, NAS, and SharePoint and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable data management systems that meet business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems for complaints management on CMT.
- Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
- Ensure systems align with business requirements and industry practices during the Comerica Bank integration.
- Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
- Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
- Create custom software components and analytics applications.
- Research new uses for existing data and improve data utilization.
- Employ scripting and data tools to connect systems and automate workflows.
- Collaborate with data architects, IT, and data scientists to achieve project goals.
- Install and update disaster recovery procedures.
- Recommend improvements to data reliability and quality.
- Land structured data from Snowflake into DB2; land unstructured data to NAS or SharePoint as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with ETL using IBM DataStage.
- Experience with DB2 and database management systems.
- Knowledge of data mining practices, algorithms, and data utilization.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB.
- Technical degree or related work experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting in SAS or Python.
- Experience with Java or J2EE for back-end development or architecture.
- Experience handling storage and unstructured data on NAS or SharePoint.
- Background in banking or other highly regulated financial industries.
