Role Overview
A Senior-level member demonstrates extensive experience, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure solutions. They are expected to drive initiatives, mentor others, and contribute strategically
Experience & Foundation
8-10+ years of experience in roles centered around infrastructure delivery (application hosting and/or end-user services).
• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement, demonstrating leadership in enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Significant experience in Cloud Operations/Support and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Experience operating within a Financial Services or other large, complex, and/or global enterprise environment is preferred.
Technical Skills
• Cloud Architecture: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, including designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud-native architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Mastery: Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, capable of designing and implementing modular, scalable, and secure IaC solutions.
• Advanced Scripting & Automation: Strong working knowledge and expertise in scripting (Bash, Python, Go, or similar) for advanced automation, custom tooling, and system integration.
• Deep Systems Understanding: Strong understanding of networking, DNS, IAM, load balancing, and advanced cloud-native services, including troubleshooting and optimization at scale.
• Container Orchestration Expertise: Expertise in EKS/GKE, including design, deployment, management, and troubleshooting of containerized applications and clusters.
• Monitoring & Observability: Ability to develop projects focused on the design of robust metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities, and the implementation of best practices for system observability.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead virtual/in-person teams, mentor junior staff, and drive initiatives.
• Pressure Management: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver projects to demanding deadlines.
• Advanced Analytics: Highly effective analytic and diagnostic skills, capable of resolving complex technical challenges.
• Strategic Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
• Influence & Collaboration: Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions to achieve organizational goals.
