Summary
- Design, develop, and maintain messaging solutions using IBM MQ.
- Analyze existing IBM MQ infrastructure and plan migration strategies to Solace PubSub+.
- Develop and configure Solace queues, topics, VPNs, and event-driven messaging solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and development teams to redesign integration patterns for Solace-based architecture.
- Perform message transformation, routing, and orchestration using Java/J2EE or other integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve messaging, connectivity, and performance issues in IBM MQ and Solace environments.
- Conduct testing, validation, and performance tuning of migrated messaging applications.
- Prepare technical documentation, migration runbooks, and support transition activities.
- Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of enterprise messaging platforms.
- 5+ years of experience in IBM MQ development and administration.
- Hands-on experience with Solace PubSub+ implementation and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of publish/subscribe messaging, queues, topics, and event-driven architecture.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JMS, REST APIs, and messaging integration frameworks.
- Experience with XML, JSON, SOAP, and message transformation technologies.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools for IBM MQ and Solace.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale enterprise migration projects from IBM MQ to Solace.
- Solace certification or IBM MQ certification.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
