The Opportunity:

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a Senior Technical Program Manager in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This high-impact, cross-functional leadership role places you at the helm of sophisticated stratospheric balloon and radar initiatives, steering projects from initial customer consultation all the way through final execution and delivery. You will operate as a pivotal advisor to both valued clients and internal leadership, harmonizing technical execution with financial, operational, and strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct complex high-consequence engineering initiatives, maintaining rigorous ownership over budgets, delivery timelines, technical excellence, and client satisfaction.

  • Act as the primary liaison bridging external stakeholders and internal multidisciplinary teams.

  • Guide requirement definition and technical architectures through every stage of concept formulation, proposal development, and active execution.

  • Synthesize nuanced client requirements into actionable, system-level specifications.

  • Coordinate synchronized efforts across engineering, operations, contracts, supply chain management, and business development units.

  • Drive system integration decisions, roadmap formulations, and technological trade-offs.

  • Evaluate financial health against established baselines, proactively deploying corrective measures when variances arise.

  • Cultivate expanded program opportunities, forge new applications, and deepen strategic client relationships.

  • Mentor emerging leaders within the program management discipline to establish organizational benchmarks.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional background, featuring 4+ years dedicated to Technical Program Management.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline (Masters or Master of Business Administration preferred).

  • Proven track record directing sophisticated engineering or systems-development initiatives within Aerospace or Defense sectors.

  • Deep foundational knowledge in Systems Engineering combined with executive presence to collaborate effectively alongside technical engineering units.

  • Demonstrated history partnering directly with U.S. Government entities, specifically within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.

  • Comprehensive familiarity governing Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement guidelines.

  • Working mastery of the U.S. Government Acquisition Lifecycle, spanning requirements analysis, Requests for Proposals, and source selections.

  • Proficient expertise in Program Financial Management, forecasting, and metrics reporting.

  • Professional credentialing such as a Project Management Professional certification.

Compensation & Total Rewards:

Annual Salary ranging from $160,000 to $200,000, plus top benefits & generous 401(k).
