#### **Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced Release Management & Testing Lead to oversee robust governance and quality assurance for a large-scale and regulated Google Cloud Platform implementation. You will direct release coordination, enforce testing rigor, and maintain audit-ready documentation to enable safe, reliable, and compliant releases across the cloud platform.
**Role Objectives:**
- Direct comprehensive release processes for Google Cloud Platform platform enhancements and user onboarding initiatives (including scheduling, change review boards, deployment criteria, rollback plans, and post-release support).
- Design and implement rigorous validation criteria for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and platform modifications, covering automated/regression tests, peer review practices, and environment promotion policies.
- Lead production readiness assessments, execute deployment checklists and smoke/functional testing, monitor go-live events, and respond to incidents during release cycles.
- Standardize and manage documentation artifacts (release notes, testing logs, approvals, and deployment trails) ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory mandates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—covering Identity Access Management, networking, security, cloud engineering, and app development—to resolve dependencies and accelerate delivery.
- Drive post-mortem analysis of release issues; initiate process enhancements and implement automation to improve quality and efficiency.
- Define and arrange knowledge transfer resources (playbooks, support processes, escalation flow, and operational SLAs) to enable seamless handovers to support/operations teams.
#### **Qualifications:**
- 10+ years'' experience with Python and Google Cloud Platform in production environments
- Proven track record in release management, preferably within regulated or enterprise settings
- Expertise in automated testing frameworks and modern DevOps toolchains
- Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native security best practices
- Experience coordinating cross-functional dependencies and releases at scale
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
#### **Desirable:**
- Industry certifications in Google Cloud Platform, DevOps, or Release Engineering
- Experience with major enterprise organizations or regulated industries
