Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a talented and motivated Developer with a strong background in database management and a passion for building innovative tools and applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and supporting Salesforce Field Service Cloud, along with experience across Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure, Excel, and Oracle.
You will play a key role in developing and optimizing solutions that support field operations, scheduling, dispatch, and field event workflows, with an initial emphasis on Salesforce Field Service Cloud and growth into adjacent platforms.
Your Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and implement tools and applications utilizing Salesforce Field Service Cloud, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure, Excel, and Oracle to meet business objectives.
- Configure and extend Salesforce solutions to support field service operations, including service appointments, work orders, service resources, skills, territories, scheduling, and mobile workflows.
- Analyze, maintain, and optimize existing databases and data pipelines to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational and data needs and translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Excel to communicate insights clearly to non-technical users.
- Develop automation solutions and workflows within Salesforce (Flows-first), Power Apps, and SharePoint to streamline business processes.
- Ensure data integrity and quality across all platforms through testing, validation, and sound governance practices.
- Support modern delivery practices including CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working to improve reliability and release cadence.
- Provide support and training to end-users on new tools and applications as needed, particularly those supporting field and operational teams.
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials- Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce Field Service Cloud, including configuration and support of core FSC objects and concepts (e.g., Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Skills, Service Territories, Scheduling Policies).
- Strong Salesforce configuration experience with a Flows-first approach; Apex/LWC exposure is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Azure, Excel, and Oracle.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data-driven applications.
- Solid programming skills in SQL and familiarity with relevant scripting/automation languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and integration services.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred: practical exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices.
- May require a good driving record and valid Driver's License.
Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
2-4 years of professional experience in database management, application development, or a related discipline, including hands-on Salesforce Field Service Cloud experience.
Relevant certifications in any of the key platforms (e.g., Salesforce Administrator or Field Service-related certifications, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Oracle DB) - multi-platform is preferred.
Previous industry-specific experience (environmental, engineering, utilities, or other professional consulting) is considered an asset.

Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
