Job Duties: Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. May have direct reports. May telecommute. (385.17554)
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a software development-related occupation. Position requires:
- Coding in C, Python and Shell Scripting;
- Troubleshooting and fixing Linux Kernel issues;
- Kernel programming;
- Operating system internals and system programming;
- Designing and developing OS components;
- Linux virtualization;
- Working on network technologies including RDMA, RoCE and InfiniBand; and
- O/S troubleshooting tools including CRASH and gdb.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
