The SBU Driver Mechanic performs vehicle mechanical work beginning with basic assembly and/or removal ofparts, minor repairs such as replacing fuel systems, unit connections and other components. ? Duties increase with time and experience on the job. Most advanced work may include fabricating experimentalparts and test fixtures and working from blueprints/drawings. Other responsibilities include driving test vehicles atvarious speeds on varying road conditions.? ? Weekend overtime is required
