Description Robert Half is seeking an IT Support Specialist for our partner in the Madison area. This role will provide day-to-day technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help maintain a reliable technology environment.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests and track issues through resolution.
- Provide technical support for computers, phones, software, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Troubleshoot user issues and escalate more complex problems to senior IT staff when needed.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records.
- Assist users with training on software, devices, and technology processes.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend longer-term solutions.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and procedures for the IT knowledge base.
- Support Windows-based domain infrastructure and virtualization environments.
- Follow established IT, security, and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements - Experience providing IT support in a help desk, desktop support, or similar role. Entry-level candidates with strong technical fundamentals are welcome.
- Basic experience with Active Directory, including user accounts and group management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint troubleshooting.
- Strong Windows troubleshooting skills, including common workstation, application, and security issues.
- Basic understanding of networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and documenting support requests.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to provide hands-on onsite support and work directly with end users.
- Familiarity with Citrix, workstation deployment, or hardware/peripheral support is a plus.
