Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Specialist/Developer with expertise in HRSD, WSD, ITOM, ITSM, and SPM to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions. The role involves building custom applications, integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems, troubleshooting platform issues, supporting upgrades, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable business solutions. While the position is primarily remote, candidates must reside in North Carolina, preferably within commuting distance of Raleigh, and be available for occasional onsite meetings and equipment pickup/return.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, forms, workflows, and custom scripts.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules including ITSM, HRSD, WSD, ITOM, and SPM to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external applications using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration tools.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ServiceNow applications, workflows, scripts, and integrations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, customizations, integrations, and development activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices, coding standards, testing procedures, and change management processes.
- Support ServiceNow platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance while minimizing business disruption.
- Provide ongoing production support, enhancements, and performance optimization for the ServiceNow platform.
- Participate in occasional onsite meetings in the Raleigh, NC area and comply with equipment pickup/return requirements.
Required Skills- Strong experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Hands-on expertise with HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery).
- Experience with WSD (Workplace Service Delivery).
- Strong knowledge of ITSM (IT Service Management) modules.
- Experience with ITOM (IT Operations Management).
- Experience with SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
- Experience designing ServiceNow workflows and custom applications.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow integrations.
- Knowledge of Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and platform maintenance.
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or implementation specialist certifications in HRSD, ITSM, ITOM, or SPM).
- Experience with complex enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with Service Portal and custom UI development.
- Familiarity with Performance Analytics and reporting.
- Experience with IntegrationHub and Flow Designer.
- Knowledge of CMDB and Discovery.
- Experience working with government or public sector clients.
- Residence in North Carolina, preferably within commuting distance of Raleigh.
