Job Description:
We are seeking a highly hands-on Senior AWS Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot scalable, production-grade serverless solutions. In this role, you will act as a core technical expert, building robust asynchronous systems and event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on writing clean code, automating infrastructure, and optimizing complex messaging workflows using AWS Lambda, EventBridge, and SQS.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated AWS engineering experience in production environments.
- Serverless Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateway.
- Messaging Mastery: Strong expertise in Amazon SQS (Standard & FIFO queues, DLQs, visibility timeout, retries, message ordering) and Amazon EventBridge (custom event buses, rules, event patterns, targets, retries, cross-account events).
- DevOps & IaC: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation, along with modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Security & Operations: Proficient in AWS IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM).
- Databases: Strong hands-on experience with DynamoDB (NoSQL modeling) and/or RDS (Relational).
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one core language: Python, Java, or Node.js.
