Senior SAP Techno-Functional Lead for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. In this hybrid role (Tuesday through Thursday onsite in Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN), you will play a pivotal part in end-to-end SAP solution delivery, digital transformation, and governance for a complex enterprise environment. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring best practices are met across core modules and integrations.
Core Focus Areas- Conducting fit-gap analyses, identifying best-practice opportunities, and determining whether custom configurations or standard APIs are required.
- Collaborating on end-to-end functional oversight for Meter-to-Cash (M2C) and Customer Service workflows using SAP S/4HANA and related service cloud solutions.
- Reviewing test results, guiding unit, SIT, UAT, and regression testing, and tracking artifacts via tools like Jira and qTest.
- Overseeing RICEFW delivery progress and ensuring seamless integration with third-party vendors and internal teams.
- Driving adherence to DevSecOps practices, automated testing frameworks, and robust SAP security/GRC compliance models.
Key Qualifications- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise SAP solution delivery, encompassing design, configuration, development, and testing.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, and SAP Service Cloud / C4C.
- Hands-on familiarity with ABAP programming, standard SAP APIs, legacy BAPIs, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft).
- Experience within the utility or energy sector, particularly with regulatory requirements and data privacy, is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities & Scope- Architect and oversee the integration of SAP applications-including S/4HANA, BTP, and C4C-with external systems and custom enterprise stacks.
- Oversee technical RICEFW development, ensuring strict traceability, code quality, and alignment with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps frameworks.
- Design and implement robust SAP security roles, access controls, and GRC compliance models aligned with corporate policies.
- Establish industry-standard error handling, performance monitoring, and abnormal use alerts across the SAP footprint.
- Partner closely with managed service providers, internal teams, and third-party vendors during deployment, cutover, and post-go-live hyper care.
Candidate Profile- 7+ years of dedicated experience delivering complex, multi-vendor SAP implementations.
- Deep proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, FICA modules, and BASIS administration.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage technical risks, and guide rigorous testing methodologies (performance, integration, and regression).
- Familiarity with modern enterprise toolsets including Jira, qTest, and AI-powered SAP utilities (e.g., Joule).
- Valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizenship or required).
