Network Engineer with ISE experience- onsite

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer with a strong networking foundation and CCNP-level knowledge to support a variety of network infrastructure projects within a large enterprise environment. This individual will work under the guidance of a senior CCIE-level engineer, assisting with network upgrades, switch deployments, and Meraki camera initiatives across multiple locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking projects while expanding their technical skills alongside experienced network architects.

Responsibilities
Perform Layer 2 access switch replacements and network hardware refreshes.
Configure and deploy Cisco switches and perform basic router configurations.
Support network upgrade projects, including planned cutovers and migrations.
Assist with the deployment and support of Meraki camera infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and respond to outage-related support requests.
Provide hands-on support for wireless access points when needed, escalating to senior engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
Verify network connectivity following installations and upgrades.
Work closely with a CCIE-level engineer on implementation activities and project execution.
Document completed work and communicate project status to the team.

Required Qualifications
CCNP certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
Strong Experience with Cisco ISE.
Experience configuring Cisco switches in an enterprise environment.
Understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking fundamentals.
Solid knowledge of VLANs and network segmentation.
Understanding of how VoIP phones connect and communicate across a network.
Experience supporting network cutovers, hardware replacements, or infrastructure upgrades.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Columbia, MD.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Cisco Meraki products.
Basic understanding of wireless networking concepts, including access points, SSIDs, RF fundamentals, and wireless troubleshooting.
Experience supporting Meraki wireless or camera deployments.
Exposure to Cisco router configuration.

Nice to Know
This is an implementation-focused role not a network design position.
Firewall administration is not required.
Candidates should be comfortable performing hands-on network installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting while collaborating with senior engineering resources.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
