Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: Boston, MA (Remote with limited travel)

Duration: Long-term Contract / Contract-to-Hire (as applicable)

Role Overview:

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and ownership of the logical data model for a large-scale digital banking platform.
• This role will play a critical part in defining enterprise data architecture, governing customer data, and supporting the migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake and Erwin, along with a strong background in banking or financial services data domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain enterprise-level logical and conceptual data models to support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives
• Lead and contribute to Snowflake data warehouse implementations, including performance optimization and migration from legacy systems (Oracle/SQL Server)
• Develop and manage Erwin data models and ER diagrams for consumption by data engineering and analytics teams
• Define and drive data architecture strategy, including domain-based architecture and data roadmaps
• Partner with data product teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to align data solutions with business objectives
• Support and contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and compliance
• Collaborate in Agile environments, helping shape data-related user stories, priorities, and deliverables

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture (Senior/Principal level preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with Erwin for logical and conceptual data modeling, including ER diagrams
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing, modeling, and performance tuning
• Proven experience with data migration projects from Oracle and/or SQL Server
• Strong background in banking or financial services, with exposure to customer data, accounts, transactions, and Customer 360 initiatives
• Solid understanding of semantic modeling, star schemas, and fact/dimension design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra or Informatica
• Familiarity with modern data tools such as Atlan, DBT, Power BI datasets, or ER/Studio
• Experience working in domain-driven or data product-based architectures
