What you will do

As a Principal Systems Administrator, you'll play a critical role in supporting the GALE application and ensuring its seamless operation for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
  • User Training: Assist in training GALE users to maximize their effectiveness with the application.
  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Patch and maintain compliance on multiple Linux servers to ensure security standards are met.
  • Application Management: Install and upgrade the GALE application, ensuring smooth functionality across customer sites.
  • Customer Support: Provide system administration support to various customer sites and assist external users and admins through our help desk.
  • Analytic Contributions: Use your analytic background and GALE expertise to provide input on future application changes and perform ad hoc analytic tasks for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Test new builds of GALE, document issues, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
  • System Administration: Perform basic GALE system administration tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay flexible and open to learning new skills and technologies to adapt to evolving needs.

What you need to have

Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience; Master's Degree and 3 to 6 years of experience; PhD and 0 to 3 years of experience (in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Linux, specifically RHEL 8 and/or 9.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, Perl, Batch, and/or PowerShell.
    • Familiarity with managing and maintaining backend Java applications.
    • Experience with Elasticsearch.
    • Proficiency in Postgres or other SQL database alternatives.

What we'd like you to have

  • 4+ years of professional, full-time experience with SIGINT or multi-spectrum analysis.
  • Exposure to or experience with the GALE application.
  • Extensive experience working with the Department of War and/or intelligence community customers.
