Summary

Overview

Bring your hands-on GALE experience to a role where you directly influence how the enterprise uses the platform. BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior/Principal-level Intelligence Analyst to support GALE (Generic Area Limitation Environment) users across the DoD/IC. You'll sit at the intersection of mission analysts and software developers-validating GALE outputs, testing new capabilities, translating analyst needs into actionable improvements, and supporting training/adoption.

This is a mission-enablement role for someone who has used GALE in real workflows and wants to make the tool better for the community.

What you will do

  • Validate GALE analytic outputs: Evaluate GALE autocorrection and related tool outputs for quality, tradecraft alignment, and analytic usability; document findings and recommend improvements.
  • Drive workflow improvements: Translate GALE user needs into clear feedback (use cases, workflow steps, acceptance criteria) for developers and product stakeholders.
  • Test new GALE features/releases: Conduct hands-on testing to confirm new functionality supports operational analytic workflows; provide actionable defect reports and enhancement recommendations.
  • Support training/adoption: Partner with GALE training specialists to improve training materials and procedures; occasionally assist with user training or capability briefs.
  • Develop analytical examples: Create exemplar analytical products/workflows that demonstrate best practices and improve enterprise consistency and mission outcomes.

What you need to have

  • SIGE certifications: SIGE3120 and/or SIGE3810
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in electronics, physics, mathematics, and computer systems
  • Familiarity with NSA/NTEC reporting standards and ELINT analysis methods
  • Language skills for multilingual signal analysis
  • Ability to work with classified information and maintain security clearances

What we'd like you to have

  • GALE Expertise: Experience with or firsthand exposure to the GALE application.
  • Customer Knowledge: Deep understanding of Department of War and/or Intelligence Community customers.
