Data Scientist, Growth Analytics

Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to support a fintech client in a long-term remote, contract role. This position focuses on measuring growth performance, improving marketing analytics, and translating complex data into clear business recommendations for senior leaders. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, practical experimentation expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead analysis of paid acquisition performance across marketing channels, connecting spend trends to outcomes and broader business impact

Create and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that give leadership clear visibility into growth and marketing results

Assess promotional offers and acquisition strategies using experiments, causal methods, and comparative cohort analysis

Examine channel and cohort performance to uncover drivers of member growth, efficiency, and retention

Review and apply marketing mix modeling results to inform investment planning and budget allocation decisions

Partner with data engineering teams to strengthen attribution methods and improve the reliability of marketing measurement

Build automated analytical workflows using Snowflake, dbt, and related tools to streamline recurring insights

Work closely with marketing, growth, finance, and data partners to shape measurement frameworks and business decisions

Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders in a concise and actionable way

Provide guidance to other analytics contributors and help raise standards for high-impact data science work

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, marketing analytics, growth analytics, or a closely related field
Strong background in paid marketing measurement, attribution, incrementality analysis, and experimentation design
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience working in Snowflake environments
Experience building or supporting dbt-based data transformation and analytics workflows
Ability to develop executive-level dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau
Strong communication skills with experience presenting analytical insights to senior business stakeholders
Demonstrated success working independently through ambiguous problems and defining clear analytical approaches
Fintech experience and familiarity with experimentation platforms such as Statsig are preferred
