Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled F5 Engineer with hands-on experience in Infoblox deployment and DNS/DHCP/IPAM (DDI) solutions. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancing solutions while integrating and managing Infoblox appliances for enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and manage Infoblox DDI solutions, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM. (Main focus on strong Infoblox engineering)
Integrate F5 and Infoblox for high availability and secure network services.
Design, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM).
Implement load balancing strategies, SSL offloading, and traffic management policies.
Troubleshoot complex network and application delivery issues.
Collaborate with network, security, and cloud teams on architecture and migrations.
Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Core Networking Knowledge
DNS/DHCP Fundamentals: Deep understanding of DNS resolution, zones, records, DHCP scopes, leases.
IP Address Management (IPAM): Managing IP address allocation and subnetting.
TCP/IP Protocols: Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6, routing basics, and network troubleshooting.
2. Infoblox Platform Expertise
Infoblox NIOS: Configuration, administration, and upgrades.
Grid Architecture: Managing Infoblox Grid Master and member appliances.
DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC): Implementing secure DNS practices.
Reporting & Analytics: Using Infoblox reporting tools for visibility and compliance.
3. Security & Compliance
DNS Firewall & Threat Protection: Implementing Infoblox security features.
Integration with SIEM: Sending logs to Splunk, QRadar, etc.
Understanding of Zero Trust & Network Segmentation.
4. Automation & Scripting
REST APIs: Automating Infoblox tasks using WAPI (Web API).
Python/PowerShell: Writing scripts for IPAM automation and DNS/DHCP provisioning.
Ansible: Automating Infoblox configurations in large environments.
F5 BIG-IP: LTM, GTM/DNS, iRules, SSL certificates, HA configurations.
Infoblox: Deployment, configuration, and management of DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS.
Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible).
Familiarity with network security principles and firewall integration.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or similar.
Infoblox Core DDI certification.
Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and automation frameworks.
Knowledge of Zero Trust and modern security architectures.

This is a Contract position based out of Salisbury, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
