Job#: 3025008 Job Description: Apex Systems is currently hiring for a
Senior Python Developer with a leading global media and entertainment client. This role supports a high-impact engineering team responsible for building scalable backend services, automation frameworks, and cloud-native applications that power financial forecasting, content analytics, and studio-wide operational tools. The environment is collaborative, fast-moving, and deeply technical, with a strong emphasis on clean architecture, reusable components, and cross-team enablement.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Python as a primary development language
- Hands-on experience building backend services, APIs, and automation frameworks using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS) or equivalent cloud-native services
- Experience designing and optimizing distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
- Strong SQL experience and familiarity with modern data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar)
- Experience integrating Python applications with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or other cloud warehouses
- Experience building automated workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar
- Experience with messaging or streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, Pub/Sub, etc.)
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks, code quality, observability, and performance optimization
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across pods, partner with product/analytics teams, and mentor junior developers

Pay Range: $80-$88.12/hr
