Summary

Role Summary
This position is responsible for analyzing and assessing the financial health of an organization to support sound decision-making and strategic planning. The role involves reviewing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights for improving fiscal performance. It is a mid-level position requiring strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles, with a focus on enhancing financial processes and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and present financial data to management.
  • Prepare financial reports, projections, and dashboards based on data analysis.
  • Evaluate current and historical financial information to identify trends and variances.
  • Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency.
  • Track financial performance by comparing results with forecasts and budgets.
  • Establish benchmarks for financial processes and reporting standards.
  • Reconcile transactions and correct discrepancies within financial systems.
  • Assist in preparing the organization’s annual budget.
  • Support the development of financial reporting documentation for state and federal agencies.
  • Collaborate with the grants department to review budgets and ensure proper documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
  • Proven experience with financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Authorization to work in the required location without restrictions.

Publishing Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 hourly
Location Requirements: This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
