Quality Assurance Engineering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orem, UT that is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineering Manager. This is an exclusive search, working directly with the hiring manager. The role owns both QA and QC and serves as the primary leader of an AS9100D compliant Quality Management System (QMS). Will lead a team of 2 Quality Technicians. (This team will be growing)

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead QA/QC across incoming, in process, and final inspection
* Own and continuously improve the QMS; ensure AS9100D compliance
* Manage supplier quality, audits, scorecards, FAIs, and corrective actions
* Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on NPI, design, and process changes
* Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits
* Ensure documentation, traceability, configuration control, and product release readiness
* Establish quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead, mentor, and develop a small QA/QC team.
* Open to candidates who have been a Lead QA Engineer wanting to get into more of a QA Manager role.

Future Growth:
* This role has long term potential to evolve into a Director of Quality
* Opportunity to build out QC, Supplier Quality, and QA teams as the company scales

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
* 5-10+ years of quality leadership in hardware/electronics manufacturing
* Direct experience in DoD / defense contractor environments
* Strong background in regulated quality systems
* Hands on experience with audits, QMS ownership, FAIs, supplier quality, and CAPA
* AS9100D preferred (ISO 9001 acceptable)

Nice to Have:
* Six Sigma certification
* AS9100D Lead Auditor
* Experience with PCBAs, RF systems, or aerospace/defense electronics

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
