We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the migration of business-critical applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform. The role covers cloud architecture, enterprise landing zones, networking, Terraform/IaC, security, observability, SRE, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Design and support on-premises to AWS/Google Cloud Platform application migrations.
Design and support enterprise cloud landing zones, including account/project structure, networking, IAM, security guardrails, shared services, logging, monitoring, and compliance.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
Design VPC/VNet, routing, segmentation, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, private/hybrid connectivity.
Partner with application/database teams on dependency mapping, migration patterns, environment readiness, deployment sequencing, and production support.
Apply SRE principles for reliability, observability, incident response, performance, automation, and operational readiness.
Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, secrets management, policy enforcement, and automated provisioning.
Use GitLab for Terraform modules, pipelines, version control, peer review, and deployments.
Use Jira for infrastructure delivery, dependencies, risks, and migration execution.
Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, encryption, access control, logging, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
8+ years in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, network engineering, SRE, or cloud architecture.
Proven experience migrating applications from on-premises to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong experience with enterprise cloud landing zones and governance.
Deep hands-on expertise in Terraform/IaC.
Strong cloud networking and hybrid connectivity experience.
Experience with SRE, observability, incident response, capacity planning, reliability, automation, and operational readiness.
Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automated infrastructure deployment.
Strong knowledge of IAM, secrets management, logging, monitoring, security guardrails, compliance, and cloud operations.
Experience using Jira for infrastructure delivery and migration management.
Preferred Qualifications
Fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industry experience.
AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Terraform/Kubernetes/networking/security certifications.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, service mesh, API gateways, and cloud-native patterns.
Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, or similar observability tools.
ServiceNow change, incident, and problem management.
Migration experience with legacy applications, database-heavy workloads, batch processes, and integration-intensive systems.
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Copilot or Codex.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Cloud Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong networking, Terraform/IaC, SRE, and enterprise landing-zone expertise, with proven experience delivering secure, reliable, and scalable application migrations to AWS/Google Cloud Platform.
