We're supporting a major enterprise seeking a
hands-on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer who will serve as the organization's go-to expert for Microsoft Purview DLP (and legacy M365 DLP). This role offers tremendous visibility, ownership, and the chance to architect and tune data protection controls across thousands of endpoints, distributed cloud workloads, and business-critical applications.

Top Skills We're Looking For- 5+ years in DLP, data protection, or security engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP (or legacy Microsoft 365 DLP / Microsoft Information Protection)
- Deep understanding of policy design, tuning & false positive reduction across endpoint, network, and cloud
- Practical experience with data classification, sensitive information types, and automated labeling
- Experience integrating DLP with SIEM tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow strongly preferred)
What You'll OwnDLP Platform Engineering & Administration- Lead end-to-end engineering, configuration, and operations for Microsoft Purview DLP
- Build, deploy, and optimize DLP policies protecting PII, PCI, financial, and other sensitive data
- Continuously tune policies to enhance signal quality and minimize noise
- Manage upgrades, feature rollouts, and roadmap-aligned enhancements
- Create documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and engineering guides
Data Classification & Sensitive Data Discovery- Drive enterprise-wide sensitive data discovery using Purview tools
- Develop & refine SITs, trainable classifiers, and labeling policies
- Align classification taxonomies with regulatory, compliance, and business requirements
- Assess new workflows and repositories to ensure proper DLP coverage
Integrations & Cross-Team Collaboration- Integrate Purview DLP with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Ensure full SIEM visibility for alerting, correlation, and incident investigation
- Utilize ServiceNow for workflow automation and ticket handling
- Partner with SecOps, IR, and Insider Threat teams during investigations
Preferred Background- Certifications: CDPSE, Microsoft SC-400, AZ-500
- Experience in large-scale distributed environments (retail, payments, fuel, or similar high-transaction organizations a plus)
- Familiarity with PCI DSS and state-level privacy regulations
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
