Multi-Currency SME - Transformation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced finance transformation professional to support the Finance function within a Wealth Management Broker-Dealer environment. This role will focus on enhancing multi-currency and multi-entity accounting capabilities across finance systems, controls, and operating processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with end-to-end finance flows, and the ability to work across Finance, Operations, Product, and Data.

The qualified candidate will have the following skills/experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls, including general ledger, multi-entity accounting, multi-currency accounting, intercompany accounting, and sub-ledger to GL reconciliation.
• Experience in Wealth Management, Broker-Dealer, capital markets, or broader financial services environments.
• Proven ability to document and analyze booking models, accounting event flows, trade lifecycle accounting, journal entry generation, and data lineage from source systems to the general ledger.
• Experience defining functional requirements and translating accounting needs into platform and system capabilities.
• Ability to support target operating model design, data validation, reconciliation logic, testing, and implementation activities.
• Familiarity with finance architecture concepts, including finance data models, ledger platforms, reporting layers, and interfaces between operational and finance systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and technology stakeholders.

• Prior finance transformation or finance systems experience.
• Background in wealth management operations, broker-dealer accounting, or financial services transformation programs.
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile delivery teams.

The client is based in New York City and would strongly prefer someone in the office (with some flexibility for non-local candidates). The qualified candidate must be able to work East Coast hours.
