Summary

Scope of Work / Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Analyst will serve as the primary point of communication for the project team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise systems. This position focuses on test planning, execution, defect management, and coordination of testing activities across multiple stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and document end to end test scenarios covering critical business processes and system requirements
  • Develop detailed test cases with clear objectives, steps, and expected outcomes
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to validate functional and non functional coverage
  • Maintain all test assets in Azure DevOps to ensure version control and accessibility

  • Design and develop test cases for multiple agency systems based on approved requirements and workflows
  • Define preconditions and required test data for execution readiness
  • Document detailed steps and expected results for all testing scenarios

  • Coordinate UAT activities in alignment with the approved UAT plan
  • Support planning sessions, walkthroughs, and stakeholder reviews
  • Assist UAT coordinator to ensure successful execution and alignment

  • Guide staff on testing processes, tools, and best practices including Azure DevOps onboarding
  • Monitor testing progress and ensure timely completion
  • Document test execution results including inputs, outputs, and deviations
  • Perform functional and system integration testing in collaboration with business analysts

  • Log and categorize defects based on severity and business impact
  • Provide detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence
  • Coordinate defect tracking and resolution using ServiceNow

  • Generate reports on test execution, defect metrics, and system readiness
  • Continuously improve Azure DevOps dashboards
  • Submit progress reports for stakeholder review
  • Obtain QA Lead approval for all deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in system development, testing, or business analysis
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and testing types including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security
  • Experience with test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
  • Basic Unix or Linux knowledge for job monitoring and log analysis
  • Experience with ETL tools, reporting tools, and test management tools such as Azure DevOps and ServiceNow
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to assess risks and support decision making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CAST, or CSQA
