Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP EWM ABAP Technical Consultant to support development, customization, and integration within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role requires deep EWM process knowledge combined with strong ABAP Objects expertise.

Required Expertise

• Deep understanding of SAP EWM processes, including:

  • Inbound delivery processing

  • Outbound delivery processing

  • Warehouse structure

  • Storage types and bins

  • Internal warehouse movements

• Strong proficiency in ABAP Objects (classes, methods, inheritance)

• Experience with EWM-specific frameworks, including:

  • Post Processing Framework (PPF)

  • Business Add-Ins (BADIs)

  • Enhancement spots

• Strong experience in SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) for non-HANA

• Experience with SAP ABAP Vistex Technical

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

• Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs and enhancements within SAP EWM

• Develop RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)

• Modify and extend EWM functionality to meet business requirements

Integration

• Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP EWM and:

  • ECC

  • S/4HANA

  • External systems

• Utilize integration technologies including:

  • RFC

  • BAPI

  • IDoc

  • Web Services

Troubleshooting & Support

• Provide expert-level support for SAP EWM ABAP issues

• Perform debugging and performance tuning

• Resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth warehouse operations

Documentation & Quality

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

• Adhere to SAP best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines

• Optimize existing ABAP code for performance

• Participate in system upgrades and support package implementations

Managerial & Delivery Skills

• Strong stakeholder management skills across:

  • Business users

  • Warehouse operations

  • Functional consultants

  • Technical teams

• Ability to prioritize requirements and coordinate cross-functional efforts

• Skilled in planning development activities, including:

  • Estimations

  • Timeline management

  • Risk mitigation

  • Quality enforcement

• Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of EWM ABAP solutions
