Salary Range: $78,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Rockford that are seeking skilled Test Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
• Design and build test fixtures and automated test systems.
• Analyze test data to identify product and process defects.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Document test procedures, results, and defect reports.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in test engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of data acquisition systems, sensor technologies, and automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python).
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement test plans, procedures, and fixtures for production lines.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for identifying trends and root causes of defects.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes or equipment relevant to the company (e.g., CNC machinery, robotics, injection molding).
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis techniques for manufacturing data.
• Basic understanding of hardware design, sensor technologies, or electrical systems.
• Scripting or programming skills for test automation beyond typical test frameworks (e.g., Python for data parsing, device control).
