Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in coding, automation frameworks, and Playwright-based automation. The ideal candidate should be capable of building scalable automation solutions from scratch, adapting quickly to evolving frameworks and technologies, and supporting functional testing and database testing activities based on project priorities.

This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and exposure to modern AI-enabled automation approaches, including AI tools and Agentic AI concepts that can improve automation efficiency and strategy. Strong focus on customer journey automation across enterprise SaaS platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Build robust automation solutions for UI, API, database, and end-to-end customer journey workflows.
• Develop reusable libraries, utilities, and framework components with strong coding standards.
• Perform validation across integrated enterprise systems and SaaS platforms.
• Execute and support functional testing and database testing activities whenever required based on project priorities.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and reporting dashboards.
• Analyze failures, debug issues, and improve automation stability and execution efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with QA, Product, Developers, Business, and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to automation strategy, framework improvements, and test optimization initiatives.
• Explore and leverage AI tools, AI-assisted testing, and Agentic AI concepts to improve automation productivity and coverage.
• Support smoke, regression, API, and customer journey automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.
• Strong coding experience in TypeScript/JavaScript (preferred) or Java/Python.
• Hands-on expertise in Playwright Automation Framework.
• Strong understanding of automation framework architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with API automation, database validation, and customer journey automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new frameworks, tools, and technologies.
• Experience in functional testing and database testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise SaaS applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Finance, or subscription/revenue platforms.
• Knowledge of AI-powered testing tools and automation accelerators.
• Exposure to AI Agentic workflows/tools for test generation, optimization, or validation.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• SaaS domain and industry knowledge will be a strong plus.
• Performance testing exposure is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience building frameworks from scratch.
• Exposure to report/data validation automation.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise QA programs.
• Understanding of smoke, regression, E2E, and customer journey automation strategies.
