Software Engineer / Business Intelligence Engineer (Contingent Resource)

Employment Type: Contingent Assignment
About the Role

In this contingent assignment, you will support large-scale Software Engineering and Business Intelligence initiatives with broad organizational impact. You will work on complex, multi-faceted challenges that require deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and collaboration across cross-functional and client-facing teams. Your contributions will help modernize build and deployment processes and enable data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Consult on complex Software Engineering initiatives that involve large-scale planning, long-term impact, and cross-team coordination.
  • Analyze and evaluate complex, multi-dimensional engineering and data challenges, including those involving ambiguous, intangible, or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technically complex situations by applying a strong understanding of engineering practices, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Design, develop, and support data analysis and business intelligence solutions to meet reporting and operational needs.
  • Collaborate strategically with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Support the onboarding and modernization of enterprise applications using CI/CD build and deployment tools such as GitHub Actions and Harness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience through a combination of work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting using tools such as SQL, MongoDB, Excel, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence reporting, including CI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Harness, Power BI reporting).
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and virtual machine (VM) setup.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional - include if applicable)
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale application modernization efforts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to consult and influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
