Sr. AI Program Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. AI Program Manager to guide enterprise AI initiatives for a global organization based in the Tampa Bay, FL area. This contract opportunity offers a path to a permanent role and will lead complex, cross-functional programs that connect business priorities with data science, engineering, and governance efforts. The role is responsible for shaping scalable AI delivery, maintaining strong program oversight, and driving measurable results across international teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Direct large-scale AI programs from initial concept through deployment and expansion, ensuring progress stays aligned with business goals and expected outcomes.

Provide leadership for the enterprise AI platform roadmap, coordinating priorities across multiple workstreams and supporting long-term digital strategy.

Turn high-level AI objectives into structured plans, milestones, and success measures that teams can execute effectively.

Oversee governance, delivery controls, and reporting practices to keep initiatives on schedule, within budget, and aligned with organizational standards.

Partner with leaders in business, data science, engineering, and compliance to maintain clear decision-making and strong stakeholder alignment.

Manage a portfolio of AI use cases, balancing innovation efforts with scalable operational execution across global teams.

Promote responsible AI practices by ensuring programs reflect ethical standards, risk controls, and enterprise governance expectations.

Coordinate collaboration across regions, time zones, and disciplines to remove barriers and sustain momentum in complex environments.

Requirements

10+ years of experience leading large programs or projects in enterprise environments, with a strong record of delivery success.
Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree such as a Master's or other postgraduate education is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in program and project management, with PMP, Agile, or SAFe certification viewed favorably.
Experience delivering AI, machine learning, or data platform initiatives within large organizations.
Working knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, and multi-agent architecture concepts.
Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms and enterprise integration approaches.
Strong communication and executive-level stakeholder management skills across both technical and business audiences.
Proficiency with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Atlassian Jira.
