  • Lead healthcare data strategy: processing HIPAA-compliant EHRs, prescriptions, and medical imaging for model training and fine-tuning.
  • Own research end-to-end from hypothesis definition to architecture design and experimental execution.
  • Author and publish findings at top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, AMIA, ICHI, etc.).
  • Contribute to clinical foundation models meeting safety and accuracy standards for deployment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, AI, Biomedical Informatics, or related field (exceptional MS candidates considered).
  • Expert-level Python and deep learning proficiency (PyTorch strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience building Agentic AI systems and working with Large Language Models.
  • Foundational to intermediate knowledge of Reinforcement Learning (RLHF, PPO, MARL).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with healthcare data (EHR, clinical notes, medical imaging, prescriptions).
  • Experience with HIPAA-compliant data handling and healthcare standards (HL7 FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED CT, DICOM).
  • Portfolio of publications or showcasable projects demonstrating applied AI work on real clinical datasets.
  • Strong communication skills across medical, academic, and executive stakeholder audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience fine-tuning Medical LLMs (Med-PaLM, BioGPT, ClinicalBERT, BioMistral, or equivalents).
  • Advanced RL research applied to healthcare or safety-critical domains.
  • Multimodal experience: radiology/pathology imaging, clinical speech/ASR, or medical device signals.
  • First-author publications in high-impact venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AMIA, Nature Digital Medicine).
