Cloud Engineer (Mid-Level)
Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)
Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This is a hands-on role working alongside architecture, security, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions. The position is ideal for someone with a strong AWS foundation who is looking to grow into architecture-level responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of AWS-based and hybrid cloud solutions Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise standards Assist in migrating applications and data from on-premise environments to the cloud Contribute to DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines, including automation, testing, and deployment Partner with security and infrastructure teams to ensure governance, compliance, and best practices Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve scalability and delivery Support infrastructure for AI and generative AI workloads, including compute and data pipelines Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practices
Required Qualifications
35 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or systems engineering Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS preferred) Strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Experience with hybrid cloud environments (on-premise and cloud) Knowledge of cloud security and governance fundamentals Background in software development, network engineering, or systems administration Experience working in enterprise IT environments Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud migration initiatives Exposure to DevOps tools and automation pipelines Familiarity with generative AI infrastructure or data platforms Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform Exposure to RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, or virtual desktop environments
