Summary

Vaco is actively seeking a remote Cloud Engineer II for a long-term contract employment with our client in Memphis.


This is a unique opportunity to hone your cloud engineering skills within a stable and highly respected organization that is a proven leader in their field!


Position Summary

This mid-level Cloud Engineer role will support cloud infrastructure, delivery, and modernization efforts across both AWS and hybrid environments. The role primarily focuses on facilitating the implementation, support, and collaboration between architecture and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise ecosystems.


Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and support cloud-based solutions primarily within AWS.
  • Assist in migrating on-premise workloads to cloud environments.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, automation pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, security, and application teams to align solutions with existing standards.
  • Support DevOps and DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, testing, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to documentation of standards, processes, and system configurations.
  • Support data platform and emerging AI/ML workloads from an infrastructure standpoint.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Prior experience with infrastructure automation tools, preferably Terraform or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Solid foundation in networking, security, and system administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and work across cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and deliver desired business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Compensation: $110k - $120k
  • Cadence: Hybrid
