Junior Data Analyst (Financial Services) - Big 5 Bank

Contract Opportunity | Hybrid (Downtown Toronto)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Data Analyst to join a Financial Services organization in support of a Regulatory Review initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience within banking and wealth management while contributing to meaningful compliance-related work.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 month contract (contract-to-hire potential)
• Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour
• Work Model: Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days work from home
• Location: Downtown Toronto

What You'll Do

• Review customer accounts and validate documentation in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Reach out to internal branches and stakeholders to obtain missing or incomplete documentation
• Update and maintain customer and account data with a high level of accuracy
• Document findings clearly and consistently to support audit and regulatory requirements
• Support broader regulatory and governance initiatives related to evolving compliance standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow defined processes and regulatory guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive, process-driven tasks
• Interest in financial services, compliance, or data/operations roles

Nice to Have

• Education in Business, Finance, Economics, Data, or a related field
• Internship or co-op experience in banking, operations, or analytics
• Familiarity with regulated environments or documentation reviews
