Join a dynamic engineering team as a CAD Technician supporting detailed design work, active site coordination, and deliverables for robotic fulfillment center projects. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to concept, firm, and deployment phases while working closely with engineers on standardized drawing sets and site-specific solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings and layouts for warehouse and fulfillment center projects.
- Support design work across concept, firm, and deployment phases with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Produce deliverables such as PDFs, drawing packages, and other documentation needed for project execution.
- Review building shell details and external references to identify and resolve layout conflicts and interferences.
- Work with engineers and technical partners to support retrofit projects, active site needs, and global engineering deliverables.
- Follow established naming conventions, design checklists, and drafting standards to ensure high-quality output.
- Use internal mapping/design tools alongside AutoCAD to help support layout development and updates.
Skills
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of layer management and drafting best practices.
- Experience creating drawings for warehouse, fulfillment center, manufacturing, or other process-flow environments.
- Solid proficiency in Excel, including pivots, VLOOKUPs, and calculation-based work.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with engineers and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Basic understanding of material handling and storage systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with conveyor design and layout.
- Familiarity with C++ or similar program experience.
- Background in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience supporting retrofit or deployment-focused projects.
- Confidence working with multiple audiences and contributing to small group collaboration.
- Ability to interpret complex drawing sets and apply standardized design practices.
