Summary

CTG is seeking a Talend Snowflake Lead to support our client's enterprise data engineering initiatives. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing modern data warehouse solutions using Talend, Snowflake, and cloud technologies.

Location: Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA
Duration: Ongoing Contract

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise data solutions using Talend and Snowflake.
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines supporting enterprise data warehouse environments.
  • Develop scalable Snowflake solutions, including data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Implement modern data architecture patterns, including Medallion Architecture.
  • Build and maintain data integration workflows using Talend, SQL, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Perform SAS code analysis and conversion to Snowflake SQL solutions.
  • Develop data validation, reconciliation, and quality processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Create technical documentation, including Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents and data specifications.
  • Collaborate with business partners, architects, and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering and Data Warehouse implementations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Talend ETL/ELT development.
  • Extensive experience with Snowflake development, administration, and performance optimization.
  • Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and Python automation.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension tables, and SCD Type 1/2/3 implementations.
  • Experience with CDC, incremental data processing, data reconciliation, and data governance practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Informatica and additional ETL technologies.
  • Experience with API integrations and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working directly with business users and technical stakeholders.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
