Role Overview
This role is responsible for performing intermediate-level engineering work activities and projects. The position requires the application of engineering knowledge to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient accomplishment of assigned objectives. Key duties include conducting pre- and post-energization reviews of station assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre- and post-energization reviews.
- Monitor Power BI data for projects nearing energization.
- Utilize prints, outage request data, attestation reports, and the asset database.
- Review assets scheduled to go in service based on proposed energization dates.
- Ensure station assets are properly attested to before going in service.
- Monitor the asset database to confirm assets are documented and reflect an "In Service" status after energization.
- Mark assets that should have been removed as "Retired" and verify removal with field personnel.
- Document all reviews in SharePoint.
- Work effectively with other team members.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required. A Master's degree in engineering from a program with an ABET-accredited bachelor's program may also be considered. An individual with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology can satisfy the requirement if they hold a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license. An acceptable alternative is a Bachelor's degree in a non-ABET engineering program plus a Master's or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET-accredited Bachelor's program.
Experience: Two or more years of related engineering experience are required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Word is required. Possesses intermediate knowledge in the application of theory and analytical techniques to solve diverse problems.
