Role: Custom Success Engineer
Location: Plano, TX
Role Overview
The Customer Success Engineer will provide technical expertise in Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies, ensuring customers and partners maximize the value of deployed solutions. The role involves close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, driving product adoption, and enabling customers to achieve their security objectives efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
l Provide technical expertise on NGFW technologies
l Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams for integration and implementation
l Act as a customer advocate and influence product roadmap and adoption
l Drive product utilization through innovative use cases and feature adoption
l Ensure customers maximize ROI from deployed security solutions
l Partner with account teams to deliver high-touch customer engagement strategies
l Support technical account planning and product success plans
Required Skills & Experience
l Up to 1 year of experience in:
Network Security Engineering
Network Operations / Support
Professional Services or similar roles
l Strong understanding of:
Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms (preferred)
Enterprise networking (routers, switches, servers, wireless, monitoring tools)
Operating Systems: Windows, Mac, Linux
l Certifications (Preferred):
PCNSA / PCNSE
CISSP
CCNA / CCNP / CCIE
l Additional Competencies:
Experience handling customer escalations and account management
Project management exposure
Ability to work in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
Strong stakeholder communication skills
Education
l Bachelor’s or Master’s in:
Computer Science
Electrical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Or related technical field
l Equivalent military experience will also be considered
