Position Title: MASTER DATA SPECIALIST - HYBRID

Pay Grade: 14

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000

Job Summary

The Master Data Specialist supports all of Canteen (Canteen, Canteen One, and Franchise), focuses on directing and overseeing efforts to structure, cleanse, monitor and analyze master data and master relationship data across the Master Data Management and key back-office systems (ERP, CRM, etc.). The role fosters a sense of security and trust in the Master Data for the Enterprise, as the data stewardship program builds a more data-focused culture and advocates for the proper use of and attention to data.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to ongoing initiatives to define, cleanse, and integrate master data sets across the Canteen and Compass organization, including customer, product, vendor, equipment-types, etc.
Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
Ensure quality of master data in key systems.
Development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Without a Bachelor's degree, three years of business experience in Data management or data administration, or equivalent time spent in a business setting requiring Data management or data administration and processes is required. With a Bachelor's degree, two years of Data management or data administration experience is required.
Experience with master data elements and hierarchies relevant to a retail client including customer, vendor, equipment, product, etc. is required.
Experience with front of house and back of house management systems and the data produced including sales, accounting, finance, warehouse, asset, fulfillment, etc. is required.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
Talent for turning data into information.
Master Data Management solutions (i.e., Informatics, Stibo, etc) experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of Systems Experience preferred.
Formal training or certification in Data Analysis preferred.
