Position Summary:Under the supervision of the department director, this role administers and manages the LG computer systems, ensuring optimal interaction between applications and business processes. This position requires technical, functional, and analytical skills to leverage the system for maximum benefit. Responsibilities include system installations, maintenance, training, and user support. The role also involves supervising projects, people, and all aspects of system implementation and maintenance.
Essential Functions:- Customer Requests: Handle initial requests, define scope and benefits, and coordinate with relevant parties to manage interactions between applications and business processes.
- System Support: Design and develop system tables, scripts, backups, and recovery processes. Analyze and create reports, develop training materials, and ensure system stability and performance.
- Troubleshooting: Provide timely support for Level 1 and 2 issues, assist with troubleshooting, and escalate problems as needed.
- Ongoing Support: Establish maintenance schedules, maintain FAQs, perform benefit analyses, plan application upgrades, and coordinate hardware purchases. Track and prioritize enhancements and problems to ensure systems meet business goals.
Secondary Functions:- User Requirements: Assist in developing user requirements, concept designs, and business plans for project approval.
- Selection and Implementation: Aid in final selection, contract negotiation, and implementation of hardware, software, networks, and training environments.
- Business Continuity: Assist in developing Business Impact Analyses to ensure continuity.
- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Additional Support: Coordinate data conversion plans, troubleshoot Level 3 issues, and develop process improvements.
Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a Science degree focused on automation and process improvement; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
