Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled
Security Engineer with deep expertise in
security data observability, CI/CD pipelines, SIEM/SOAR ecosystems, and large-scale log ingestion. This role sits at the intersection of
security engineering, big data pipelines, and telemetry architecture. You'll design and optimize enterprise logging solutions, support security operations teams, and drive continuous improvement of security data platforms.
Top Required Skills- 9+ years of experience supporting SOC teams with security data observability, logging, and data management
- Certified Cribl Engineer
- 2+ years of Cribl engineering/administration
- Strong Splunk engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with major SIEM/SOAR platforms
- At least one professional cybersecurity data management certification
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, or experience in highly regulated environments
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Logging & Data Engineering- Design and implement enterprise-wide logging and security data solutions
- Identify performance or configuration issues and define resolution strategies
- Develop cost-control measures related to logging, ingestion, licensing, and data storage
- Participate in building platform roadmaps and lifecycle strategies
Pipeline Architecture & Telemetry Engineering- Architect and maintain scalable pipelines for ingesting, parsing, and normalizing telemetry from:
- Cloud
- Endpoint
- Network
- Identity platforms
- Implement data retention, archiving, and tiering strategies for compliance and cost efficiency
Monitoring & Operational Reliability- Build dashboards/alerts to track latency, throughput, and data "heartbeat"
- Ensure reliable data delivery with zero data loss
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex cybersecurity issues
Collaboration & Security Operations Support- Partner with Incident Response and Detection Engineering teams to ensure correct data delivery
- Contribute to preventative security improvements across host, network, and cloud tooling
- Resolve escalated security cases
- Lead documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Guide and mentor junior team members
Other Responsibilities- Lead and deliver assigned cybersecurity-related projects
- Develop and implement standards aligned to security policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $97.00/hr.
