Position Summary

TINA provides shared services to North American entities of TICO, Japan. TINA's Information Technology team is responsible for providing IT shared services to numerous locations (subsidiaries) across North America. These IT shared services include datacenter and cloud IaaS, LAN/WAN services, information security services, server/desktop management, Teams phone administration, active directory administration, email, backup/recovery and IT consulting services.

The engineer in this role will be a member of the team that supports and manages these services and the infrastructure that hosts them. The position requires Windows administration experience and a working understanding of Active Directory, Windows Operating Systems, LAN/WAN networks, and virtualized environments. The Windows Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing level 1, 2 and 3 support to our internal customers.

Essential Position Duties

Install, configure, test, maintain, and patch Windows operating systems, Windows applications and system management tools

Administer and maintain shared services applications on Windows platforms (i.e. AD, email, SharePoint, help desk solution)

Support the operations of TINA's datacenters (and the infrastructure contained within them) and multiple Azure Tenants

Provide up to 3rd level support and troubleshoot complex problems via email, phone and other electronic medium

Participate in system health checks, migrations and special projects/product development activities as assigned

Prepare documentation and participate in the creation of standards and implementation processes to ensure product uniformity and quality

Participate in the identification of system reliability issues and drive tool/process improvements to correct determined problems

Participate in after hours, on-call rotation and maintenance windows activities

Follow best practices, strategies, methodologies, and approaches to systems administration tasks and projects assignments

Participate in self-guided and classroom training to continuously improve technical skills

Education, Experience & Skills

Minimum 3 years' professional experience managing and administering Windows environments

Strong knowledge of current Windows desktop and server operating systems

Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including: Active Directory (on-prem and azure), Active Directory DNS, current Office productivity suite, System Center Configuration Manager, Group Policy

Experience providing end-user support for incidents, requests, and changes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Microsoft certification, preferred

Microsoft 365 administration experience, preferred

Experience working in an ITIL environment

Experience administering Virtual Environments and Azure subscriptions

Experience supporting regional SOC activities (IDS, IPS, SOC, EDR)

Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar tracking system

Experience with Software Packaging and deployment a plus

Advanced Scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) experience a plus

May include lifting up to 75 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion. Ability to concentrate, read and comprehend complex data. Frequent handling of documents, computer hardware and use of computer and telephone. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Travel

Travel within North America may be required (up to 25%, but possibly as high as 40%). Ability to drive safely and valid driver's license required. Possibly two international trips may be required; therefore, a valid passport is required.
